Jetson needs
a home. He was rescued from a college apartment complex. He
is veryaffectionate and doesn’t mind dogs or other cats.
He is also good with children. He is between 3-5 years old. Jetson is very mellow!
He likes to
talk!! He is up to date on his shots and
is already neutered. It seems he grew up going from apartment to
apartment because he is very adaptable! Nothing seems to faze him.
Jetson tested positive for FIV
(feline HIV/AIDS) but he is non somatic, which means he is healthy and feels
fine. FIV+ cats cannot infect other animals or humans, it infects only cats. As
with humans living with HIV, their immune system is lowered. So, if he gets a
cold or virus, which could happen to any cat, he would have to be taken to the
vets immediately. But with the right nutrition and a yearly vet checkups he can
live for 15+ years. If you can give this wonderful cat a loving home please
consider adopting him. For more information on sharing your home with an FIV
positive cat, please read our guide on Living
with FIV.
If you would like to adopt a
companion for Jetson (he would love that!), please see Molly’s
page. Molly is also FIV+ and has been in foster care for over 2 years.
Jetson is neutered, has been
wormed, is UTD on all his shots, and tested negative for FELV (feline leukemia). For
more info about Jetson call Debbie 908-319-2041 or email her at debrajones@att.com.

FURR is a 100% volunteer organization. Every penny donated goes to paying our vet bills, caring for our cats living at Petco and TNR. Our adoptions fees don't come close to paying the bills. Please help us save more lives. FURR is a 501(c)3 organization so donations are tax deductible.
It is now kitten season and we are in dire need for more foster homes. Please contact us if you can foster a litter of kittens, bottlebabies or a mom with kittens. FURR pays for all vet care at our partner vets, and experienced foster parents are available to help the newbies through the joys of raising kittens. Fostering is fun, wonderful and saves lives.
