Did you know that kittens are often the first to be euthanized in a kill shelter? FURR wants to try to save as many of these little ones as possible. We need kitten foster homes desperately. Kitten season will be especially bad this year since the Winter has been so mild. Please contact us even if you can only foster one litter this year...
This little guy is not up for adoption but we have so many like him who are. We need foster homes badly. Our organization is small but very committed. We have foster parents in NJ and PA. Fostering is rewarding because you know that you have made a huge difference in a cat or kitten's life. Our organization pays for all the vet bills and we have adoption events on a weekly basis in NJ and PA. You can bring your fosters to as many of these or as few as your schedule permits. Many of our cats and kittens are adopted right from Petfinder! To foster you must be over 18, responsible and be allowed to have cats where you live. You can even set the terms. We have people who only foster kittens, some people who like to have mom cats and their babies and other people who prefer to foster adult cats. The hardest part of fostering is saying goodbye, but when you know that the new home is a good one it makes it a bit easier. You will always know that you were that cat or kitten's guardian angel. If you can't foster we can still use your help. We have resident cats at the Petco on MacArthur Road in Whitehall, PA and we need people to clean their environments there. It is not hard at all and can be very rewarding. If you have ever wished that you could "just take them all home" here is your chance to make a real difference. Incidentally, the adorable boy in these pictures was a FURR cat. He was rescued as a 5 week old kitten and was so sick he was close to death. Now he is the happiest boy alive and has even learned to do tricks! He wouldn't be riding around on the shoulders of his proud mom today without a rescue organization like FURR. Please contact us if you would like to try fostering, to help clean at Petco, to help with adoptions at Petco, or to volunteer in other ways. Kitten Season will be here before we know it and we will need foster homes and addtional volunteers more than ever! Thank you for your Support.
FURR is a 100% volunteer organization. Every penny donated goes to paying our vet bills, caring for our cats living at Petco and TNR. Our adoptions fees don't come close to paying the bills. Please help us save more lives. FURR is a 501(c)3 organization so donations are tax deductible.
It is now kitten season and we are in dire need for more foster homes. Please contact us if you can foster a litter of kittens, bottlebabies or a mom with kittens. FURR pays for all vet care at our partner vets, and experienced foster parents are available to help the newbies through the joys of raising kittens. Fostering is fun, wonderful and saves lives.
