Dasher is a gorgeous "mini panther" with shiny fur, long limbs and tail, a stunning angular face, and a touch of white at his neck. He's sleek and graceful when he moves. 

Dasher is a great mix of playful and mellow. He loves to play with string or any dangly toys that allow him to jump about, but you can also catch him lying on his cat tree and looking out the window at birds. He gets along well with other cats. He loves drinking from the water fountain.

Dasher spent the beginning of his life as a feral kitten fearing humans so he is still skittish. He needs a patient, understanding family that will give him the time and space to open up. His first foster mom said that once Dasher trusts you, he will sit on your lap and soak up your love.

In his new foster home, he is adjusting well. He gets along with the other foster cats. A great way to help him adjust has been to give him squeezable treats and get him actively playing with a wand toy. He now comes to me to be petted, whereas at first he hid and would only let me pet him when he felt safe hidden in the closet.

He just needs time to get to know his new people. So Dasher would probably flourish best in a quieter home where he can be given the time and space to adjust to his new surroundings.
