Angus is a true family man. He was trapped as part of a TNR operation on New Year’s Eve and proved to be far too much of a lovebug to go back outside.
He went right from being neutered to his foster family’s house, and he was so happy and relieved. His dirty coat became a stunning white and smokey gray. The wounds on his chin and chest healed. He realized he was safe.
“Angus the man-gus” is likely about 2-3 years old (our best guess, but we really aren’t sure). He is up to date on vaccinations, FeLV and FiV negative, litterbox trained, and fixed. He’s extremely easy to handle and can be easily picked up and carried around. He doesn’t love it, but he doesn’t object either.
Angus lives with two other cats, a cat-savvy dog, a guinea pig, three human brothers, and his foster parents. It’s a busy house, and he fits right in. He enjoys lounging in the sun and sleeping on the couch. When he’d like some quiet time, he retreats to the finished basement for a nap. Often, he joins the resident kitten in a game of tag at 6am. He’s very talkative and has a teeny, tiny meow for such a big cheeky tomcat.
Angus is about 11 pounds, but he tries to curl up on your lap (and often falls off like a klutz) or cuddles behind your knees when you sleep. He loves being petted, but can get overstimulated with a lot of pets and play nip. The good news is that he is very communicative and once his foster family learned this, they’ve watched his body language and it hasn’t been an issue. In fact, the seven year old human in the house says Angus is his favorite foster cat ever!
Angus is looking for a soft couch, warm lap, overflowing bowl of cat food, and endless love and affection! He has so much love to give and is searching for his forever family! #angus_furr #buskirkfamilyfosters
