Bella's Story

Bella was found out in the cold starving and freezing. Once she was rescued, we started petting her and talking to her, and she immediately started purring and walked out of her cage to sit in our lap. Once there, it was like she never wanted to leave. This poor girl has so much love to give. For a cat who has gone through so much, it is amazing the way she trusts you. So it is mandatory for Bella to get a lot of love and attention.

Bella does not like dogs or other cats, but may be able to learn to tolerate them. She seems likely to just ignore things she doesn’t like. If you are a first time cat family, it is best Bella not be around small children, but adolescents and up would be fine. If you are an experienced cat family, you will find that Bella is like all other cats you’ve ever met – she knows what she likes and she knows what she doesn’t.                                              

Bella has all her shots, is wormed, tested negative for FIV and FELV, and is spayed.

She is residing at Petco, Phillipsburg, NJ and can be seen in person by calling Bobbi at 908-652-1278, emailing us at info@felineurbanrescueandrehab.org, or going to an adoption day any Saturday from 10am – 4pm.

Jennifer on Bella: Bella has been with us a long time and desperately needs a secure, stable home to call her own. She doesn’t always ‘put her best foot forward’ on adoption days because she is nervous, but I know she will thrive in a home a where she can sit next to you, get her head scratched (she loves that!), lounge in the sun and get a nice brushing once in a while (another thing she loves!). Bella is her own woman as they say but she needs to be in a home to really shine! It is a pleasure for me to care for while she is at Petco.

Laura On Bella: Bella is a refined lady. She needs a quiet, comfortable home with someone who will give her the space to be who she is. I can see her relaxing in a warm sunny window, just watching the world go by. It doesn't take much to please her: some good food, a nice scratch around the head, and a sprig of catnip, if you please. Wait for Bella to come to you, and she will bestow you with a ton of love.
