Max is one of those really rare cats who captures your heart the second you lay eyes on him. Not only is he handsome and friendly, but he exudes affection and wants nothing more but for you to pet him and scratch his cheeks. In return, he is utterly devoted to you within seconds.

Max clearly once had a home - he is too sweet not to have. However, something brought him to a life on the streets of Phillipsburg until FURR rescued him from that life. When he was found he had abscesses on his back that FURR had treated and now he is 100% healthy. He has scars on his ears and nose due to fights, and his paws are really calloused - all signs of a tough life for a cat. You can see in his eyes and his actions that all he wants now is to 'retire' and live a life being spoiled and loved and free from danger.

Come meet Max at the Phillipsburg, NJ Petco. You will fall in love with him - promise. Max is UTD on his shots, neutered, and is FLV/FIV negative.

And don't let his age deter you - he's still a young man at age 5 - cats can live to be 15-20+ years old!
