Clementine is a DSH female cat approximately 1-2 years old. She was found in Stewartsville and brought to the vet in December 2004. It is believed that she was left behind by her owners when they moved. She was living at an old farmhouse on Rt.57 and was crossing Rt.57 daily in search of food. Her right front paw was curled in and upward. After being examined by Dr. Mary at Pleasant Valley Rd Veterinary Hospital in Harmony NJ they figured she must have gotten her paw stuck or trapped and in her attempts to free herself she tore ligaments that caused her paw to attraphy. In addtition to the ligament problem she had an infection in that paw also that needed to be treated prior to any surgery. Another veterinary surgeon operated on Clementine in December once the infection was cleared up. She has been vaccinated, spayed and tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. She was being boarded at Dr. Marys all this time. She was just recently placed into a foster home and will need about another month before she will be available for adoption. She is sweet and gentle, slow-moving and likes to be on your lap. Her paw is mending nicely and she will be able to use it with limited mobility. She is a wonderful cat thats had a tough time. F.U.R.R. has incurred her medical bills which have exceeded $1500. With all of this in mind F.U.R.R. is looking for a special, loving home for her that is preferably quiet and consiterate of her limitations.
