My name is Tyson. I am a handsome boy and I love people. I have a very sad story to tell and my current life is filled with longing for a home. I am hoping every day that a wonderful, caring and generous person sees me and gives me a chance to love them and make my life worth living. I am a special needs cat because I tested positive for feline leukemia. I have spent almost a year in a cage because I don't want the other cats in the shelter to get feline leukemia. I know there is a better life for me beyond this cage. I have almost given up, but the people who care for me give me hope even on my saddest days. I watch the other cats come and go, thinking how wonderful it must feel to be adopted! And, then I remember that most people won't want to adopt me. I know the odds are against me living a long life, my doctor doesn't know if I'll be with you for 10 months or 10 years, but anyone who would give me a home for whatever time I have would be the greatest gift I could ever receive. If I had someone to love me, hold me and give me a warm bed to sleep on I could be stronger and just thinking about it makes me purr! I promise I would never, ever let you down and every day I would thank you for making my dream come true. I am one of the cats out there living on a dream, won't you please make my dream come true? Come meet me and take me home with you. So you remember, my name is Tyson. I do get along well with other cats, but they would also need to be feline leukemia positive. I would also be happy to have you all to myself. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, flea treated, wormed and feline leukemia positive.
