Pilgrim is a sweet LAP CAT who is super friendly, loves attention, and is so affectionate. Check out all her videos (see link below) to see how adorable and hilarious she is.
Appearance: Pilgrim's pattern is called a "classic" tabby, with dark swirls. She has areas of white, including a little strip of white fur on the top of her back.
Personality: She is such a lovebug and a definite LAP CAT. She'll climb into her foster mom's lap to be loved on and will fall asleep for a nap there. She loves attention and affection, and purrs. Pilgrim is also very playful and likes wand toys, catnip mice, spring toys and anything really. She also loves Churu squeezable treats as well as dry treats.
Good with people, kids, cats & dogs: She is great with adults and would probably be good with kids too, as she is gentle and sweet.
She LOVES the 4 other foster cats in her foster home. She quickly acclimated to the foster room when she first arrived with Valiant, where she immediately took to Jonas. Then when Abe and Tip Toe joined, Pilgrim was infatuated with them, following them around everywhere! She likes to nap with Valiant and Jonas, and even likes when Jonas grooms her.
Pilgrim even met the Great Dane in her foster home and did very well. (See video) She was understandably cautious at first, but after about 10 minutes, she came out of the foster room to explore and be near the dog. We think she would be fine with a dog who is respectful of cats, given time to adjust with a proper introduction.
Background: A few months ago, Pilgrim was found in a cage with 5 other cats (including Valiant) outside at a warehouse storage center. Someone had dumped them without food or water in the hot sun. Luckily for them, they were found in time and are with our rescue.
Heart Murmur: Pilgrim does have a 4/6 heart murmur which does not seem to bother her. She is still a ball of energy. We can tell you more about this.
You can see more PICS and watch her VIDEOS by going to her profile on FURR's website (if you aren't here already, like if you're coming from Petfinder.com). There will be a link to click (see below).
Location/Meeting: Approved applicants may visit her in her foster home in Warren County, NJ and meet all the cats there. In addition, any cat you wish to meet can be brought to our regular adoption events in Easton or Phillipsburg. We can also meet at a mutually convenient time and place.
